HAVE A CASE OF THE MONDAYS?

I feel as if the 'Case Of The Monday's' hit really hard this time of year. I say this because the weather is so beautiful and you would rather be outside eating dirt than sitting in your office working.

Side Note*(Case Of The Mondays = When it's Monday and you're basically dragging ass because you're reminiscing about your weekend festivities, and you would give away your favorite pair of shoes for it to be Friday all over again.)

Over the years I have come up with a bulletproof plan to beat the Monday's...well, at least bulletproof for me. Hopefully these tips and tricks work for you too.

START YOUR WEEK OFF RIGHT

Sunday Funday!
Since Sunday is officially the the beginning of the week, that's when you really need to start mentally preparing yourself for the rest of the week.

THINGS I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING ON SUNDAY
1. Sleeping in. Just don't do it.
2. Spend all day in bed recovering from Saturday. Hello, what a waste of the day!
3. Letting brunch get out of control. Ok, I know we've all been there. It's very easy to turn bottomless mimosas into an all day event, but let's get real. We all regret it afterwards, and there is nothing worse than a Monday morning hangover.
4. Stress about work on Monday. Another waste of the day!

THINGS I RECOMMEND TO DO ON SUNDAY

1. Get a mani/pedi. This will make any girl happy (or guy...yes, I always drag my boyfriend along and he secretly loves it).
2. If you're like me and love fashion/styling, pick out your clothes for the rest of the week. This saves so much time in the morning. Plus, picking out new outfits is always fun.
3. Get some vitamin D! Lounge by the pool for a few hour with or without a margarita in your hand (I usually prefer with). It's always nice to go back to work with a tan.
4. Do something outdoorsy, such as a hike or bike ride or even the dog park with friends.
5. Get to bed early! We all have our different versions of  "early". When I go to bed late on Sunday I usually feel sluggish all week. I always try to be in bed by 10:30 so I have time to read and whatnot.
6. Go grocery shopping. Ok, I understand this isn't for everyone and a lot of people hate grocery shopping, but for me, grocery shopping can be the highlight of my day. I literally could spend hours in Whole Foods. I cook every night and I love food and trying new recipes, so that's probably the reason it's so exciting for me.

LOOK FORWARD TO SOMETHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK

No matter how great of a Monday you're having, nothing is more depressing than thinking about Friday being 4 more days away. What I recommend is looking forward to something mid week to take your mind off of it. Here a few Wednesday activities that I recommend.

1. Plan an after work happy hour with your friends.
2. Plan a date night with your significant other or best friend.
3. Go shopping. I never go shopping on the weekends because it's too crowded and it literally stresses me out to even think about it. Mid-week is perfect. It's also usually when stores put out new merchandise.
4. Have a spa night at your place. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. Candles, bubble bath, face mask, wine, book, nail polish....the whole package.
5. Pick up a new show. I love getting sucked into a good show. Eating dinner on the couch and watching a fave tv show is always something to look forward to. Right now I'm into Nashville...it's so good!

I hope these help :)
xx
